Join us

We have not held formal auditions in recent years but we are always happy for players to come and have a 'blow' with us. This gives them an opportunity to look at us and us an opportunity to look at them without need of a formal audition. Rehearsals are held on Monday and Friday evenings at St Saviours Church Hall in High Green, Sheffield. If you thought you knew (up to August 2004) where we rehearsed, please take a sanity check because we've moved!!!

How to find our rehearsals

The map (left) shows the approximate location of the Bandroom.

The easiest way to find us is from Junction 35 on the M1. Head down the hill (Cowley Lane) towards Chapeltown (left off the M1 if heading North, right if South).

Keep following the main road (don't take the left fork to Ecclesfield) until you reach a roundabout in the centre of Chapeltown. Take the second exit (straight on) off this roundabout. You'll very quickly go under the railway and over a PELICAN crossing and hit a second roundabout. Take the second exit here as well, leaving the shops to your left (there are two roads going more or less straight on with shops in between). Follow this road up the hill, down the other side and up again into High Green. As you go into High Green, you are on a gentle downward sloping hill. At the end, there's a mini roundabout. Just before there on the right is Packhorse Lane (marked with a star on the map). The Bandroom is just before Packhorse Lane on the right.
