Contest crew: 1979

The picture above represents something of a turning point in the Band's history. The photograph was taken on Sunday 11th February 1979 in Chapeltown. It was the day of the Fourth Section Regional Qualifiers at Bradford which the Band won. It was the day that the Band broke from the 4th Section and started its upward march. Next Sunday, 7th March, 2004, we reach the culmination of that journey as we take the stage in the Championship Section in the same contest.
