Our photograph album contains pictures going back to the early 20th century, the older pictures scanned and lent to us by Raymond Ibbotson who we thank very much for his contribution.

I've added three pictures taken at the Band's first appearance at the Brighouse March contest on 3rd July 2005. Thanks to Lindsay Grayson for waving my camera.

Descriptionthumbnail
We think this photo may be pre-war or soon after, location probably outside 'The Ranch' in Chapeltown. We think the bass player 4th from the right, front row is Herbert Wilkinson, father of Neville and Terry
Behind Neville third from the left second row is Terry Turton and directly behond him is Judith Wilkinson. On Judiths left is Sheila Kirk who was to become Terry Wilkinsons wife.On the second row first on the right is Mark Ibbotson my younger brother.
at the side of the bass drum with a cornet in his hand is Jack Wilkinson, Judiths father and the elder brother of Neville and Terry Wilkinson. We know that he was born in 1916 and he looks about ten years old in the photo.
The girl in front of the band with the trombone is Peggy Platt, and her Brother Eddie Platt is the Euph player on the back row. On Eddie Platts right hand the man with glasses on is Eric Kirk.
This is another informal photo, no uniforms. The cornet player on the right is my wife Judith and next to her is 'Dusty' Miller. Next to him with face partly obscured is Terry Turton.

Look, Mum. Those people are playing a concert. Who'd have thought? In fact, I've just realised that the bloke in the blue shirt in the rowing boat is Skelmanthorpe's Eb Bass player Alan Coe who was camping with our lot for the weekend.
